Parece que los mensajes en la botella están de moda. Prueba de ello es el mensaje que enviaron los investigadores gallegos de la Coordinadora para el Estudio de los Mamíferos Marinos (CEMMA) que decidieron experimentar con este método cuánto tardarían algunos animales de la fauna marina en dar la vuelta al océano y estudiar las corrientes marinas.La botella se lanzó al mar el 17 de mayo de 2007 desde el Banco de Galicia, una montaña submarina ubicada cerca del hundimiento del Prestige y encontrada en las Bahamas el 29 de marzo de 2009. Los investigadores no creían que llegase a ninguna parte y tuvieron una grata sorpresa. Ahora están pensando en repetir este "juego" para seguir investigando.


More traveler bottles

It seems that messages in bottles are in fashion. A proof of that is the message sent by the Galician researchers of the Coordinator for the Study of Marine Mammals (CEMMA) that decided to experiment with this method how much time would take for some maritime annimals to go around the world and so study the ocean currents. The bottle was sent to sea on 17 May 2007 from Banco de Galicia, a submarine mountain located near the Prestige sinking point and it was found in the Bahamas on the 29 March 2009. Researchers did not believe it could reach anywhere and so they had a pleasant surprise. Now, they are planning to repeat this "play" in order to continue their researches.
